Olympic Team

There are 11 Olympic classes in Sailing, and the USA has qualified for all of them. We will send 18 athletes to the races in Qingdao, China, and they will race in staggered, week-long events between August 8 and 24. Qingdao is roughly 500 miles southeast of Beijing and known for its challenging, light-air conditions.

The 2008 Olympic team is relatively young, with 2/3 of the team aged 30 years and younger, and 1/3 of the team aged 25 years and younger. Four team members are Olympic veterans. Click on each sailor to learn more.
